Training with Ell

Ell Eros offers classes and private lessons in erotic dancing such sensuality basics, pole, floorwork, lap dance, and chair dance.

With a deep love for slink style erotica, he hones in on the hypnotic ritual of dance and tease to truly captivate. If the slow, sexy, magnetic vibe is something you are looking to dive deeper into, Ell’s classes are for you.

Whether you’re looking to learn new moves and choreography or all the bits and pieces in between such as: details and transitions, stage specific tricks, audience engagement tips, technique, and more, Ell Eros hopes to give his students the most out of their learning experience. No two people are alike, and Ell aims to give everyone the moves and tips that work best for their body, customizing the experience with each student and encouraging playful practice and discovery.

As a transmale dancer who has been out for over 10 years, he hopes to challenge gender norms in dance spaces and on stage that often make erotic performance spaces inaccessible to trans people. He teaches with a philosophy of pursuing individual authenticity and not perpetuating gendered movement or language within that, instead washing dance down to its core motions so students may build it back up with what feels most aligned for them first and foremost. By removing and reevaluating the hyper gendered elements that can often be found in mainstream erotica and dance spaces, he he hopes to create a more gender affirming experience.

This ethos is furthered by Ell’s experience as a chronically ill dancer. He hopes to bring awareness to the realities of dance journeys and professions of disabled performers, and make dance more accessible by putting emphasis on choosing what feels best for each person's body instead of the pressure to follow a strict move  set.

These experiences allow Ell to understand the complex relationship one can have with their body and dance, and so he focuses on the sensual somatic movement within erotica in hopes to help you build a deeper positive connection with yourself. Putting emphasis on doing what feels best for your specific body in the moment, there is always variation provided to make the movement as accessible as possible to each individual.

  • "Taking classes with Ell has rekindled my love for movement!"

“Ell is a fantastic teacher! I had a love for dance when I was younger, but as I grew up it was hard to find a space that felt safe and comfortable as a trans person, so I lost touch with it. Taking classes with Ell has rekindled my love for movement! He creates such a welcoming atmosphere and he’s always willing to provide alternative movements when you need them. Taking Ell’s classes has made me feel so much more confident in myself in and out of the classroom.” -Jo

  • "He really seems to care about students’ experience in class."

“I love taking Ell’s classes. He’s mindful that everyone’s body is different and offers alternatives to moves that might not be accessible for everyone. He’s generous with his knowledge of performing and he really seems to care about students’ experience in class. I also adore slink and Ell creates beautiful routines (and I vibe with his taste in music which is a huge plus). Excited to take more classes with him in the future

  • "He reminded me of what I enjoyed so much about burlesque "

Ell is a very adaptable teacher, he is passionate and also very knowledgeable. I had the chance to take private lessons with him and he was super attentive to my needs. He reminded me of what I enjoyed so much about burlesque while also teaching me new moves and techniques. He is good at identifying his student’s strengths while also challenging them. He is also very kind and generous with his knowledge. He is a wonderful teacher and I couldn’t recommend him more!
